Rémy Martin Louis XIII (1989-2005) 50ml
Since the introduction in 1874 Louis XIII de Rémy Martin, initially known as Age Inconnu, has been Rémy's most prestigious cognac, a blend composed of 1200 different Grande Champagne cognacs matured between 40 and 100 years, bottled in a decanter which was shaped after a 16th century metal flask found on a Jarnac battlefield in 1850 which was purchased by Rémy Martin. Between 1874 and 1920 Rémy Martin Age Inconnu was sold in glass decanters made by Verrerie Royale de Saint Louis in Münzthal but these reproductions were far from perfect and so the production was entrusted to Cristallerie de Baccarat from 1920 onwards.

Hennessy Beauté du Siècle
Hennessy Beauté du Siècle was created in honor of Kilian Hennessy’s hundredth birthday (1907-2010). Kilian Hennessy was managing director of Hennessy from 1945 till 1975. The cognac itself is a blend made by the famous Maître de Chai, Yann Fillioux, and consists of 50-100 years old Grande Champagne Cognacs, the oldest of which dates back to 1907.
Hennessy Beauté du Siècle was originally delivered in a aluminium liquor chest designed by French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel, priced €150.000 ex vat, released April 2008.
This specific decanter 024/100 however will be delivered in a neutral box, hence the difference in price.

Hennessy Richard Hennessy (2008-2022)
For Hennessy Richard Hennessy the House of Hennessy has blended 100 of its oldest eaux-de-vie – aged in old barrels for up to 200 years – with younger examples to create this incomparable cognac. Once blended, it gains complexity and power from five years in younger casks, with the wood emphasising the structure and character of the eaux-de-vie. This also gives Richard Hennessy its darker colour. Hennessy Richard Hennessy first appeared in 1996.
This is the 3rd edition, designed by Inga Sempé in 2007, bottled between 2008 and 2022. Note: this decanter is sold without box!

Martell Cordon Rubis
Martell Cordon Rubis was released in 1986, a blend of Grande- and Petit Champagne Cognacs which were aged up to 40 years, positioned between Cordon Bleu and Cordon Argent (Extra). Cordon Rubis vanished from the market not long after its introduction which may have to do with the 1988 takeover by Seagrams, a Canadian company with bilingual employees who must have noticed that Rubis does sound near-identical to rubbish a.k.a. trash....
