Since it's introduction in 1874 Louis XIII de Rémy Martin has been Rémy's most prestigious cognac, a blend composed of 1200 different cognacs which matured in wood between 40 and 100 years, bottled in a decanter which was shaped after a ancient Venetian bottle found on a Jarnac battlefield in the 19th century. In 1936 the glass decanter was replaced by a cristal version produced by Baccarat, Saint-Louis and Sèvres. The production of Rémy Martin Louis XIII is limited to 10.000 bottles annually.

Rémy Martin Extra was introduced in the 1920s but was discontinued shortly after WWII broke out. Rémy Martin Extra resurfaced again in 1975 as Rémy Martin Extra Centaure and remained in production until the launch of Rémy Martin Centaure de Diamant in 2010.

This artist collaboration features a meeting of Hennessy’s tradition with the progressive and iconic aesthetics of KAWS on a limited edition bottle of V. S. Cognac.

A total of 420,000 bottles 750ml have been produced for the US market, each carrying its own unique number, released September 2011 through selected channels.

Each cellar has its own characteristics that imbue the spirit with specific aromatic notes. Rémy Martin ‘Reserve Cellar Selection’ Cellar N°28 is derived from an underground cellar which has always been the Cellar Masters’ ultimate reserve for the finest eaux-de-vie, housing the treasures with the greatest ageing potential. These eaux-de-vie benefit from the cellar’s almost constant humidity and temperature levels, which together provide perfect ageing conditions. Using mostly old casks is essential, as they confer silky notes of candied fruit to the eaux-de-vie to create a truly exceptional Cognac.

Released in 2002, repackaged in 2011 and discontinued around 2018/2019 when Hennessy was faced with a globale shortage of Cognac, production could not keep up with growing demands.
