Suntory 1989 90th Anniversary
This Aritayaki decanter was released in 1989 to commemorate Suntory 90th anniversary. What exactly has been used to fill the decanter is unknown, one would expect Hibiki, introduced that very same year for exactly the same occasion, but until proven it remains 'just' a blended whisky.

Suntory Hibiki 17 years Suntory Foods 40th Anniversary
Suntory introduced Hibiki in April 1989, released to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the company. The NAS premium blend at 43% ABV carried a suggested retail price of ¥10,000. Designated as “a masterful blend of specially aged whiskies with a mature full-bodied taste” on the front, the back label further elaborates that the contents are a mix of 30 different whiskies. The unique bottle, with its 24 facets that reflect the hours in the day as well as all the ‘small seasons’ in the year, sported a medallion, a gold cap stopper, all packaged in a luxurious box.
This decanter was released for the 40th anniversary of Suntory Foods.

Suntory Hibiki 21 years ANA 15th Anniversary
Hibiki was introduced in 1989, initially as a nas version containing 30 different malt whiskies which was later changed to a recipe containing a blend of 36 malt whiskies with an ag statement of 17 years, meaning the youngest component in the blend aged that long. Hibiki 21 first appeared in 1994 and, due to a temporarily shortage, it was announced as being discontinued but in fact it remained in production after all.
This Hibiki 21-years old decanter was released in 2001 for the 15th anniversary of Crown Plaza ANA Kyoto hotel.

Suntory Hibiki 1990 Table Telephone No.2
Back in 1876 Alexander Graham Bell was awarded the first U.S. patent for the invention of the telephone. In 1890 the first telephone line between Tokyo and Yokohama became active. In 1990 Suntory honored the 100th anniversary of this event with the release of a black ceramic decanter shaped after the iconic Table Telephone No.2 which was launched in 1906 but apparently it took until 1927 until they found there way to Japan.

Suntory Hakushu 1996 Kotobuki Aritayaki
The Hakushu distillery is owned by the Suntory group, and situated in the Toribara locality of the former town of Hakushu, in the Yamanashi Prefecture, Chubu region, Japan.
This is a special one containing Hakushu, bottled in 1996 in a red Arita-yaki Arabesque decanter with the Kanji character 寿 imprinted. This stands for the mythological creature kotobuki, a hybrid chimera consisting of parts of all the animals found in the Chinese zodiac.

Suntory Hakushu 1998 Usagi Aritayaki
The Hakushu distillery is owned by the Suntory group, and situated in the Toribara locality of the former town of Hakushu, in the Yamanashi Prefecture, Chubu region, Japan.
This blue/white octopus Arabesque pattern Aritayaki decanter, decorated with a Usagi (rabbit) under the moon and the Kanji character Fuku, was released in 1998. Bottled with 12-year old Hakushu single malt.

Suntory Kakubin 1997/10 years 60th Anniversary
Suntory Very Rare Old liqueur Whisky, bottled in the 1950's. This is often referred to as Kakubin which is the Japanese word for 'square bottle'. Production started in 1937 as a 12-year old expression and pretty it soon became the #1 whisky in Japan.
This 10-year old Kakubin was released in 1997 to commemorate the brand's 60th anniversary.
