Suntory Yamazaki Single Malt President's Choice
Suntory President's Choice was selected and blended by Keizo Saji, born in Osaka in 1919 as the second son of Shinjiro Torii, founder of Kotobukiya. He became president of Kotobukiya in 1961, and officially renamed it to Suntory Limited in 1963, paying tribute to the success of Suntory Whisky a.k.a. Kakubin.

This one is quite rare as it contains Yamazaki Single Malt instead of a blended whisky.

This 2015 limited edition Hakushu 25 years old is labelled with Echizen Washi (Traditional paper) depicting the mountain forests of Hakushu, and also comes in a Paulownia wood box, worthy for even the best. Sealed with a five-cord "Mizuhiki" symbolizing the human hand - joining the hands and heart of the giver with the recipient, this design is the essence of Japanese Hospitality.

Suntory Hibiki (1989-1990)
Suntory introduced Hibiki in April 1989, released to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the company.  The NAS premium blend at 43% ABV carried a suggested retail price of ¥10,000. Designated as “a masterful blend of specially aged whiskies with a mature full-bodied taste” on the front, the back label further elaborates that the contents are a mix of 30 different whiskies. The unique bottle, with its 24 facets that reflect the hours in the day as well as all the ‘small seasons’ in the year, sported a medallion, a gold cap stopper, all packaged in a luxurious box.  

This is the first release as it was available between 1989 and 1990, bearing the old Lion Crest logo, which was replaced in 1991, and a gold-colored stopper.

The Arita and Kutani ceramic decanters were an annual limited release from Suntory, bottled between 2001 and 2014. Each one contains their exceptional Hibiki 21 year old blend, which contains malt from their Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, and grain from the Chita distillery. Arita and Kutani are the pre-eminent ceramic houses in Japan, both located on the islad of Kyushu. Each year, both houses designed a decanter each, and they are all hand-painted.
