Dom Pérignon Oenothéque 1973
Cuvée Dom Pérignon Oenothéque is a special Cuvée of Dom Pérignon that is disgorged after being aged on lees for years and released only when the “Chef de Cave” (cellar master) deems it perfect for release. Oenothéque wines are marked by complex aging notes, fine elegance, and aromatic intensity. However, the Moët & Chandon Champagne house doesn’t produce the Oenothéque bottle anymore. It has rebranded the Oenothéque wine as “Plenitude”.

Château d'Yquem 1970
Somewhat less evolved than the 1971, and for me always a shade less interesting and complex, the 1970 Yquem is a large-scaled, rich, full-bodied, fairly alcoholic Yquem with significant flavor interest as well as crisp acidity. Unlike the 1971, which is close to peak maturity, this wine has a long way to go and is impressive, but not yet revealing all of its potential. Robert Parker WA 90.

Château d'Yquem 1979
Lovely, elegant in style, this balanced Yquem seduces with tropical, dried apricot and creamy-smooth flavors. Medium-bodied, it weighs softly on the palate, then kicks in with a persistent finish. WINESPECTATOR (93)

Based in Meursault, Coche-Dury is a well-known estate producing some of the finest white wines in Burgundy, ranging from simple Bourgogne Blanc to top-end grand cru expressions.

Critic tasting note: "The integrity of this 12-year-old wine is amazing. Its yellow color is relatively bold and has lost none of its tonality while the explosive aroma is the wine’s unique trademark. Few whites have a mineral aroma like this one with its intense notes of citrus and wild flowers. And few wines have a mouthfeel that is so stimulating, bold, structured and wrapping, sweeping you way with its incredible energy. The persistence is very long." (96/100, Doctorwine).

DRC Richebourg 2001 (75cl)
The Richebourg is one of the best crus in Vosne-Romanée and lies on calcareous clayey soil. These are both powerful and charming wines: robust, well-structured and harmonious. They develop intense aromas, typical for fine Burgundies: ripe or candied red and dark fruits, musk, leather and humus. A lingering and fabulously rich aroma are what make this cru one of the world's greatest wines. Several decades of cellaring are often required for this wine to reach its best. The exceptional concentration of the Richebourg from the Domaine de la Romanée Conti is due to a perfect vinification and maturing. The meticulous care and attention given to these vineyards was such that they were among the last Burgundies that managed to resist phylloxera, until 1946.

Château Cheval Petit Cheval Blanc 2016
The colour of this Petit Cheval blanc 2016, crystalline with yellow-green reflections, characterises the young age of this wine. From the first nose, the minerality dominates with its notes of flint, matchstick, percussion pebbles. With aeration, the wine unfolds all its complexity with notes of fresh citrus fruits such as lemon or bergamot. Rustic characters like sage or rosemary mingle with notes of fresh flowers like acacia, lilac or vine blossom. The open and direct attack shows all the nervousness of this wine. The mid palate is broad and crisp. Volume and sweetness harmonise perfectly with the fresh and straightforward acidity. The aromatic return fully expresses the complexity of this wine with a fruity taste with white flesh (peach, pear). Its finish, long and rich, expands thanks to pretty bitters. (75cl)

Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru 2018 (75cl)
The Domaine Louis Jadot 2018 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru offers up a deep bouquet of raspberries, wild berries, ripe cherries, dark chocolate and rose petals. Olivier Leflaive Bâtard-Montrachet GC 2020 (75cl)
The Olivier Leflaive Bâtard-Montrachet Grand cru 2020 vintage is a unique vintage. It is marked by historic precocity from budburst, with an advance of 3 weeks, until the harvest which took place entirely in the month of August. High temperatures associated with a lack of precipitation cause a significant water deficit as well as evapotranspiration phenomena in July and August. The absence of rain, on the other hand, allows the health of the grapes to be very satisfactory. The particular conditions of this vintage generate wonderful balances.

"The 2018 Meursault Les Caillerets 1er Cru has tremendous lift on the nose, along with spine-tingling definition and focus to the mineral-rich yellow plum, honeysuckle and hazelnut aromas. The palate is very well defined with great depth, spicier than the Rougeots alongside, and a very persistent finish. This deserves time in bottle, (VM, 94 points)".

DRC Montrachet 2017 (75cl)
A restrained nose flirts with the exotic while requiring aggressive swirling to eventually reveal aromas of essence of pear and apple compote, passion fruit, tangerine peel, spice and a subtle but not invisible touch of wood. The dense, opulent and caressing big-bodied flavors possess outstanding mid-palate concentration thanks to the copious amount of sappy dry extract that also buffers the citrus-tinged acidity shaping the hugely long, youthfully austere, dry and gorgeously complex finish. This is at once powerful and muscular yet for all of the imposing size and weight, the balance is impeccable save for a minor touch of warmth. Even so, there is a real sense of harmony that should enable this exceptionally tightly wound beauty to age gracefully for years to come. This is sublime and while 2017 is not the best young Montrachet that I have tasted from the Domaine, but among them and this has the potential to be genuinely great as it should have no problem making for very old bones. d'Auvenay Bourgogne Aligoté Sous Chatelet 2008 (75cl)
Lalou Bize-Leroy is the first lady of Burgundy, and Domaine D'Auvenay is a most special place to her. From the importer: "Domaine d’Auvenay is an old hunting lodge and the home Lalou shared with her late husband, Marcel. Lalou lives on a plateau overlooking the working farm, where barley and corn are grown. Under the d’Auvenay label, Lalou produces biodynamic, estate-grown village, 1er and Grand Cru wines. These small-batch wines display supreme elegance and precision, with a richness that is both complex and easy to digest. Château d’Yquem 2019
Decanter: 97/100 : “ The 2019 vintage of Château d'Yquem has the highest proportion (45%) of Sauvignon Blanc in any modern Yquem. The Sauvignon Blanc adds to the freshness, acting as a great balance to the succulent, sweet and voluptuous palate. Intense peach and apricot, combined with lemon and orange zest, make this highly appealing to drink right away – an ideal vintage with which to start Yquem's 'lighthouse' project. However, it would be a shame not to give this 10+ years maturation to see how it develops. Very well, I suspect. The growing season was both warm and wet, with mildew a big threat. After a mostly dry September, 40mm rain came at the end of the month, leading to a very short harvest window. All of the Yquem grapes were picked in two tries within a one-week period. Residual Sugar: 138g/L ”. - 600cl

Leroy Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru 2007 (75cl)
Good deep red. Wild, slightly reduced aromas of musky raspberry, game and earth. Then juicy and gripping on the palate but still quite tight and not yet revealing its inherent complexity. This fascinating, primary, mineral- and soil-driven wine needs a good decade of cellaring (Vinious 01-03-2010 / 93+).
