There is a Special version of Royal Marriage, presented in a decanter made by the Japanese glass maker Chiyoji Asahara. This is a blend of 1960 malt whisky produced at Yamazaki distillery and 1963 grain whisky, matured for 33 years. Perhaps this is the same blend used to fill the regular bottles, but that's just an assumption...

Suntory Nazo Dark Angel, blended and bottled in 2002 for the Japan Association of Mystery/Detective Novelists. Selected and bottled by Natsuo Kirino (桐野 夏生), born October 7, 1951, in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, the pen name of Mariko Hashioka, a Japanese novelist and a leading figure in the recent boom of female writers of Japanese detective fiction. The main component of this whisky is 12 year old Yamazaki blended with Chita.

This 1999 release is a fantastic decanter of whisky distilled and blended by Suntory Limited to mark their 100th Anniversary. The blue and white pottery bottle is engraved with white barley motifs. The words on the bottles are a homage to Keizo Saji (1919-1990), Shinjiro Torii’s second son, and the second generation of Suntory, who was instrumental in making Suntory a leader in the whisky industry. Suntory filled these decanters with their award winning Hibiki NAS blend.
