Golden Horse was launched in 1948, the very first whisky sold under the supervision of Toa Shuzo. This cask strength Golden Horse 12 years old Single Malt was bottled July 2008. Available are bottle #0363 & 0612.

Since the introduction in 1874 Louis XIII de Rémy Martin, initially known as Age Inconnu, has been Rémy's most prestigious cognac, a blend composed of 1200 different Grande Champagne cognacs matured between 40 and 100 years, bottled in a decanter which was shaped after a 16th century metal flask found on a Jarnac battlefield in 1850 which was purchased by Rémy Martin.

Between 1874 and 1920 Rémy Martin Age Inconnu was sold in glass decanters made by Verrerie Royale de Saint Louis in Münzthal but these reproductions were far from perfect and so the production was entrusted to Cristallerie de Baccarat from 1920 onwards.

This miniature presentation of Remy Martin Grande Champagne Age Très Vieille Age Inconnu (Louis XIII) was produced for Europe in 1962, bottled in a Baccarat decanter, accompanied by a card of the 1938/1957 Royal Banquet and sold in it's original box, which is exceptionally rare.

This Hine Napoleon, bottled in a hand gilded Royal Blue Limoges decanter, is a faithful scale reproduction of the Arc de Triomphe, commissioned in 1806 by Napoléon Bonaparte to commemorate his many victories.

Nikka Taketsuru 12 years Pure Malt was introduced in 2000, intended as Nikka's answer to Suntory's Yamazaki 12 years old. It was well received as it was priced ¥2450 compared to ¥6000 for Yamazaki 12 years old. This is the old presentation, bottled in a square decanter and sold with it's original box.

Suntory released this giftbox in 2023 to celebrate their centennial. The 180ml bottle does contain a very special blend containing 30-year old Mizunara plum malt and Spanish Oak malt to name a few.

A.E. Dor Reserve 1848 Grande Fine Champagne Napoléon III.

Napoleon III (Charles-Louis Napoléon Bonaparte; 20 April 1808 – 9 January 1873) was the first president of France from 1848 to 1852, and the last monarch of France as the second Emperor of the French from 1852 until he was deposed on 4 September 1870.

We estimate this one was bottled between 1950 and 1960. A.E. Dor has been allowed to bottle their old stocks underproof but sadly they did not mention the % abv of this specific release.

Suntory introduced Hibiki in April 1989, released to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the company.  The NAS premium blend at 43% ABV carried a suggested retail price of ¥10,000. Designated as “a masterful blend of specially aged whiskies with a mature full-bodied taste” on the front, the back label further elaborates that the contents are a mix of 30 different whiskies. The unique bottle, with its 24 facets that reflect the hours in the day as well as all the ‘small seasons’ in the year, sported a medallion, a gold cap stopper, all packaged in a luxurious box.  

Hibiki 17 years old was launched in 1994, as replacement for the nas version which however contained the exact same whisky. This is the rare baby-bottle.

This Karuizawa Ocean Very Rare Old Blended Malt was bottled after 1962, containing Yamanashi Grain Whisky and Karuizawa Single Malt. In later times the name was changed into 'White' and the content downgraded to 'just' blended whisky.

Yamazaki 2013 Sherry Cask, limited to 18000 bottles, could be considered a game changer. After it received 100 points from Murray prices exploded and many other Japanese whiskies where pulled along.
