Hibiki was introduced in 1989, initially as a nas version containing 30 different malt whiskies which was later changed to a recipe containing a blend of 36 malt whiskies with an ag statement of 17 years, meaning the youngest component in the blend aged that long.
Hibiki Mellow Harmony, released 5 November 2013, is a limited release of 4000 bottles containing a blend of Hibiki 17, Yamazaki Single Malt and Chita Grain Whisky.
