This Nikka Hokkaido Pure Malt 12 years old was bottled between 1984 and 1989, arguably the first single malt which came out of Yoichi's distillery, if not from all of Japan. This first edition did not yet carry the name Yoichi, something which was changed in 1989 with the introduction of Nikka Yoichi 12 years old Single Malt.
