Golden Horse was launched in 1948, the very first whisky sold under the supervision of Toa Shuzo. This cask strength Golden Horse 12 years old Single Malt was bottled July 2008. Available are bottle #0363 & 0612.

Nikka Taketsuru 12 years Pure Malt was introduced in 2000, intended as Nikka's answer to Suntory's Yamazaki 12 years old. It was well received as it was priced ¥2450 compared to ¥6000 for Yamazaki 12 years old. This is the old presentation, bottled in a square decanter and sold with it's original box.

Suntory released this giftbox in 2023 to celebrate their centennial. The 180ml bottle does contain a very special blend containing 30-year old Mizunara plum malt and Spanish Oak malt to name a few.

Suntory introduced Hibiki in April 1989, released to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the company.  The NAS premium blend at 43% ABV carried a suggested retail price of ¥10,000. Designated as “a masterful blend of specially aged whiskies with a mature full-bodied taste” on the front, the back label further elaborates that the contents are a mix of 30 different whiskies. The unique bottle, with its 24 facets that reflect the hours in the day as well as all the ‘small seasons’ in the year, sported a medallion, a gold cap stopper, all packaged in a luxurious box.  

Hibiki 17 years old was launched in 1994, as replacement for the nas version which however contained the exact same whisky. This is the rare baby-bottle.

Suntory introduced Hibiki in April 1989, released to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the company. Hibiki 12 years was introduced in 2009 and available until 2015. This is the so-called baby bottle.

This Karuizawa Ocean Very Rare Old Blended Malt was bottled after 1962, containing Yamanashi Grain Whisky and Karuizawa Single Malt. In later times the name was changed into 'White' and the content downgraded to 'just' blended whisky.

Yamazaki 2013 Sherry Cask, limited to 18000 bottles, could be considered a game changer. After it received 100 points from Murray prices exploded and many other Japanese whiskies where pulled along.

Despite the fact Springbank 8 years 100% Pure Malt has turned out to be a very populair expression, it won an award in 1983, the lack of production capacity forced the distillery to discontinue this entry-level Campbeltown in favor of the 15, 21 & 25 year old Springbanks. This bottle #05456 is one of the last 18000 bottles 8-year old Springbank ever released, distilled in 1976 and released in 1984.
