Walker's master blender Jim Beveridge said: “John Walker & Sons XR 21 Year Old is crafted from extra rare casks and imbued with aged oak, subtle vanilla and golden honey notes with an incredibly smooth finish.

Suntory introduced Hibiki in April 1989, released to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the company. Hibiki 12 years was introduced in 2009 and available until 2015. This is the so-called baby bottle.

Hibiki was introduced in 1989, initially as a nas version containing 30 different malt whiskies which was later changed to a recipe containing a blend of 36 malt whiskies with an age statement of 17 years, meaning the youngest component in the blend aged for at least that number of years.

This decanter has been released in 2001 to commemorate the 15th Anniversary of Suntory Hall. The whisky itself is a special blend of 15-year-old whiskies.
