Toyo Jozo J.B.A. Byron
This whisky was distilled in 1958 (not 1957 as has been stated many times) and bottled in 1967 for The Japan Bartenders Association by when it was around 10 years old. The name Byron refers to Lord George Gordon Byron, an English peer, poet and politician (22 January 1788 – 19 April 1824).
Toyo Jozo Co. Ltd was founded in 1958, located in Izunokuni city, Shizuoka prefecture, where it produced Jupiter Whisky. The company later merged with Asahi Holdings.
