Hibiki was introduced in 1989, initially as a nas version containing 30 different malt whiskies which was later changed to a recipe containing a blend of 36 malt whiskies with an ag statement of 17 years, meaning the youngest component in the blend aged that long.

Hibiki Deep Harmony is a May 2013 limited release of 4000 bottles, built around Hakushu malt matured in ex-red wine casks and Chita grain matured in ex-sherry casks.
