Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Blanc 2021 (75cl)
Aged in four used barrels, the 2021 Musigny Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru Blanc has quite a pithy, honeysuckle and melted wax-scented bouquet, very different from other Chardonnays (sometimes more like a fine Pinot Blanc from Alsace!) The palate is very well balanced with a slight viscosity, lively, spicy with ginger and lemongrass, very feisty on the finish. Lovely. (Vinious 91-93).
Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, often simply called Comte de Vogüé, is one of the most prestigious and respected wine estates in France's Burgundy region. This estate is known for producing some of the best Pinot Noir wines, particularly from the Grand Cru vineyard of Musigny.
