Dom Pérignon Oenothéque 1971
Cuvée Dom Pérignon Oenothéque is a special Cuvée of Dom Pérignon that is disgorged after being aged on lees for years and released only when the “Chef de Cave” (cellar master) deems it perfect for release. Oenothéque wines are marked by complex aging notes, fine elegance, and aromatic intensity. However, the Moët & Chandon Champagne house doesn’t produce the Oenothéque bottle anymore. It has rebranded the Oenothéque wine as “Plenitude”.

Dom Pérignon P2 Rose 1996
Dom Pérignon is only available as a vintage champagne and is only produced in exceptional years. Each vintage is a creation, singular and unique, that expresses both the character of the year, and the character of Dom Pérignon. The first release (P1) comes approximately 8 years after the harvest and is the style that most consumers are familiar with. The second stage (P2) takes roughly 15 years, during which time the cuvée takes a profound leap to a new quality level where it will plateau for many years in terms of improvement.

The 1996 season was full of contrasts: a capricious summer with wet periods not compensating for the earlier drought. However, the periods of high heat preceding the harvest led to exceptional maturity, marked by a rare balance of power and acidity. This vintage has all the inimitable traits of a great Dom Pérignon Rosé with all the light-heartedness, vivacity and vibrancy of the Pinot Noir grape matched with great Chardonnay balance.

Dom Pérignon Rosé 1990 magnum
The 1990 Dom Pérignon Rosé is powerful and explosive in style, with superb overall intensity. In this flight, the 1990 comes across as a more polished version of the 1993. Just beginning to enter its tertiary phase, the 1990 is in a great place to deliver maximum pleasure. Autumn leaves, crushed flowers mint and sweet red berries add nuance on the racy, creamy finish. Drink between 2015 and 2025. Robert Parker 94/100.
