Cuvée Dom Pérignon Réserve de l'Abbaye, also known as Dom Pérignon Gold or simply Gold Réserve, is a stand-alone series in the Dom Pérignon range released exclusively for the Japanese Market. Branded as an ultra-deluxe product, it undergoes about twenty years of extended ageing on the lees - longer than the ageing of Dom Pérignon Plénitude 2.
Named after the Abbaye d’Hautvillers where Dom Pierre Pérignon was cellarmaster from 1668 until his death in 1715.
It is unknown how many bottles of this rare vintage have been produced but they are extremely scarce; this is the 1990 vintage, released in 2009.
