Suntory 2006 Nazo a.k.a. Special Mysterious Whisky a.k.a. is a special release for Mystery Writers of Japan (MJW), bottled 20th July 2006. The whisky itself is Yamazaki 12 years old, created based on a recipe vatted by Japanese author Konno Bin.

The Yamazaki 2015 limited edition of which 10000 bottles were produced. The main component is a 20-year old Sherry matured whisky blended with some younger Bourbon matured whiskies.

Hibiki was introduced in 1989, initially as a nas version containing 30 different malt whiskies which was later changed to a recipe containing a blend of 36 malt whiskies with an age statement of 17 years, meaning the youngest component in the blend aged for at least that number of years.

Hibiki 21 was added to the range in 1994. This is the 3rd edition which was released September 2019.

Designated as “a masterful blend of specially aged whiskies with a mature full-bodied taste” on the front, the back label further elaborates that the contents are a mix of 30 different whiskies. The unique bottle, with its 24 facets that reflect the hours in the day as well as all the ‘small seasons’ in the year, sported a medallion, a gold cap stopper, all packaged in a luxurious box.  

Hibiki 17 years old was launched in 1994 and phased out in 2019 due to limited stocks and growing demand.

Jack Daniel’s Silver Select was a travel retail exclusive. The Bourbon chosen for Silver Select aged in the highest location of the barrelhouse. Bottled at 50% abv this Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey is considered as one of the best whiskies ever released by Jack Daniel’s.

This is the first release of Silver Select, rick L-03, bottled 3-19-2010 from barrel #10-1246.

Johnnie Walker Deco is a 1998 limited release, exclusively for the Taiwanese market. The bottle itself is inspired on the Art Deco period which lasted from 1920 until 1939.

The Gentleman Jack brand has not been used for limited edition or commemorative purposes much in its 33 years of existence. However, this brand which is known for its smoothness and extra layer of refinement was the perfect fit to honor the personal timepiece of Jack Daniel. 

This is the 3rd generation, produced between 1999 and 2006.

Outlaw Kentucky Bourbon is an obscure brand, a range of Bourbons produced by KBD/Willett, seemingly bottled for the Japanese market. This 12-year old depicts Kid Curry, real name Harvey Alexander Logan, an American outlaw who ride with the notorious Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, all of them members of the Wild Bunch, all of them wanted Dead of Alive.
