Rochemont & Co was a small négociant or producer, perhaps both, from Cherves-de-Cognac, nowadays known as Cherves-Richemont.

We assume this bottle dates from the 1st quarter of the 20th century.

Sauvion Grande Vieille Fine Champagne Cognac, bottled in the 1960s.

The House of Sauvion was founded by Pierre Sauvion in 1835. Due to marriage the brand merged with Rouyer Guillet in 1920 and production resumed until the 1960s.

Croizet Age Inconnu, bottled in the 1970's with a Cognac of unknown age. The black frontlabel refers to February 10, 1767 on which date Benjamin Croizet's brand was registered at the Chambre Royale d'aunis.

Chateau de Beaulon Grande Fine Extra is a discontinued expression, replaced by Extra Rare some 10 years ago. This was the oldest quality produced under this label, a blend of Cognacs predominantly from 1904, 1907 and 1914.

Croizet Réserve Particulière was introduced in 1997, a beautiful decanter bottled with precious 1860 vintage Cognac, one of the favorite's of Benjamin Léon Croizet, distilled by his father, the other being a 1842 vintage distilled by his infamous grandfather Léon Croizet, Napoleon Bonaparte's sommelier.

After about two years the last remaining 1860 was bottled and after careful consideration the 1894 vintage became its successor. In total Croizet released 4 different decanters of which some carried a vintage year on their neck label while others came with a certificate stating vintage years and date of bottling. Besides the aforementioned 1860 and 1894 vintages Croizet also released some decanters containing a 1811 Fine Champagne.

This decanter is believed to contain the 1860 vintage.

This Castillon Napoleon Extra Old dates from the 1970's. Bottled for the Japanese market this is in fact a X.O quality Cognac, Napoleon was considered a token of quality in those days and, as such, often added to the brand name.

This 70 year old Grande Champagne Cognac was bottled especially for restaurant Taillevent by Font Borne. In the second edition of his book "Cognac" from 1995 Gerd von Paczensky listed Font-Borne Taillevent among the best cognacs.
